“Just received a text of invitation from PA to DC Kupwara that Hon Advisor and Hon Minister are convening a meeting in conference hall. I am a simple person and a grassroots worker. I have been chosen MLA by my people. And more than anytime in the past the sanctity of the institution of MLA is under threat. As long as I am the MLA I will protect the sanctity of this institution,” he said.

He also questioned the authority of advisor to CM
“May I ask the government what is the legal and political stature of the Advisor. That he instructs DC who in turn instructs his PA to shoot of a text of invitation to MLAs.And a humble advice to the Hon Minister. If you are serious about the institutional supremacy of the Assembly and restoration of statehood start respecting your fellow MLAs.

There are 6 MLAs in this district. Call them. Text them. If you are serious,” Mir said.

Mir said that such review exercises were nothing more than photo sessions and hindering routine functioning of officers.

“If you want to help with snow clearance, sit in one place and monitor the operations. Please stop these photo sessions. Summoning officers means taking them away from their work. Let them do their work.
