Member of Parliament for Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency, Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi, on Saturday dismissed reports about his resignation from the National Conference, calling them mere rumors.
Speaking to the media, he said, “Reports about my resignation are just rumors. My focus is on fulfilling the commitments made to the people. I have individual responsibilities, and so does my party.”
He said that the party is committed to the people both politically and in terms of governance. “We are dedicated to working for the people and fulfilling our promises.
Our political agenda belongs to the people and the one we presented during the elections and for which we received their votes. It is our duty to represent that political sentiment and agenda without delay, he said.
When I have something to say, I don’t keep it a secret. I neither speak one thing behind closed doors and another outside nor do I give cryptic messages. I have always been straightforward in my communication, he added.(KNS)
