Mughal road reopens for traffic

Mughal road, connecting Poonch-Rajouri and Shopian districts, reopened for traffic after clearance of landslide debris near Mansar Morh, officials said on Sunday.

The thoroughfare was closed on Saturday later afternoon. Subsequently, they said, men and machinery was pressed into services to restore the road for traffic.

DTI Mughal Shoket Amin Khan said that the reopening of the thoroughfare for vehicular traffic. He said stranded vehicles and tribal families, struck along with livestock, are moving towards the respective destination.
