With a message of health, discipline, and harmony, Mera Bharat Srinagar celebrated the 11th International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm across the Kashmir Valley, engaging youth, students, and volunteers in mass yoga demonstrations and awareness activities.
A major celebration was held at the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Rajbagh, Srinagar, where Pradeep Kumar, Deputy Director of My Bharat Srinagar, led the event. The function was honored by the presence of Ms. Nirmata Kumari, Principal of IHM Srinagar.
Addressing the participants, both dignitaries emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life, especially for youth, as a tool for physical well-being, mental peace, and spiritual growth.
The event witnessed active participation from My Yuva Bharat youth leaders, including Inam, Nazakat, Zubair, Irfan, Zahid, and others. Alongside them, a large number of My Yuva Bharat volunteers, IHM staff, and students took part in the yoga session with great energy and enthusiasm.
The celebration included live demonstrations of various yoga asanas and breathing techniques, aiming to inspire a long-term commitment to health and mindfulness among the participants.
Mera Yuva Bharat’s efforts ensured that the spirit of International Yoga Day was felt not only in Srinagar but also through similar programs held simultaneously across different districts of Kashmir, reflecting unity in purpose and action.
The event concluded with a collective call to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to embrace yoga as a daily practice and spread its transformative benefits within their communities.
