According to police spokesman, Following an intense investigation, police uncovered that Sandeep Singh had been kidnapped and murdered by Pardeep Singh, son of Sher Singh, from Prem Nagar, Jammu. The accused lured Sandeep to Reasi on the pretense of repaying ₹1,30,000, which he had taken from the victim and lost while gambling in the Aviator game. Tragically, on 27th September, Pardeep pushed Sandeep into the Chenab River at Talwara, Reasi, resulting in his death.

Police, acting on Pardeep’s confession, recovered Sandeep’s body from the river. Further investigation revealed a conspiracy involving Rajinder Singh, another conspirator who owed ₹25,000 to the victim. Both Pardeep Singh and Rajinder Singh have been arrested, and a case (FIR No. 117/2024 U/S 140/49/103 BNS) has been registered, he said.

Jammu Police continue their investigation, working to uncover further details surrounding the crime, he said.

This swift action has been praised by the community, reinforcing faith in law enforcement’s dedication to justice, reads the statement.(GNS)
