On Monday, the National Conference called for a detailed investigation into the tragic fire incident at Dal Lake, which resulted in the unfortunate demise of three Bangladeshi tourists.
“While it is indeed unfortunate that lives were lost, we advocate for a thorough inquiry that does not unduly trouble any of the boat owners,” stated NC Chief Spokesman Tanvir Sadiq in a press release following his visit to the houseboat owners affected by the fire.
Sadiq appealed to the Jammu and Kashmir administration under the leadership of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to promptly provide houseboat owners impacted by the Dal Lake fire with low-interest loans.
