Kupwara, January 20, 2025 – The National Road Safety Awareness Week 2025 has officially commenced in Kupwara, organized by My Bharat, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), and the J&K Traffic Police, District Kupwara. This week-long event aims to promote safe driving practices and raise awareness about road safety among the residents.
The inaugural ceremony, held today, witnessed the presence of senior officials from the district traffic police, NYKS, and local youth representatives. The event emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic rules, wearing seat belts, avoiding mobile phone usage while driving, and other crucial aspects of road safety.
Speaking at the event, DySP Traffic Mujahid Nazir and NYKS officials highlighted the significance of collective efforts in reducing road accidents and ensuring safer roads for everyone. “Road safety is a shared responsibility, and it is essential for each individual to contribute by following traffic regulations,” stated DySP Mujahid Nazir
Local youths actively participated in the event, demonstrating their commitment to road safety. A road safety awareness rally was also organized in Kupwara, where participants marched through the streets, spreading the message of safe driving practices.
