National Conference President Farooq Abdullah said that the alliance between his party and Congress is finalized and will be formalized by this evening.
Abdullah, addressing a press conference, described the discussions as “cordial” and expressed optimism about the partnership following a meeting with Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge and Lok Sabha Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi.
“Alliance on all 90 assembly seats between the two parties. Paper work to be finalised by tonight. Congress, NC and CPI(M) are together. We will work together and fight the elections. We are hopeful that statehood will be returned. No doors are closed for anyone”: Farooq Abdullah said.
Congress also announced the meeting on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, highlighting the collaboration with National Conference leaders Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah in Srinagar.
This confirmation dispels speculation about a possible post-poll alliance between National Conference and BJP.
