SRINAGAR: J&K Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari Thursday said that New Delhi stands with those who represent wishes and aspirations of people.

Responding to queries of media persons here in Srinagar, Bukhari said leaders of Apni Party faced severe criticism and abuses since formation of the party, but we didn’t succumb to hearsays. “We remained firm on our stand, though many tried to sabotage our will for achieving achievable things. We didn’t waste our four years and we remained in between the people. We listened them and tried to resolved their grievances in our capacity,” Bukhari said.

Without naming any political party, Bukhari said those killed people in their regimes to retain power will be exposed soon. “Today even Home Minister of India spoke on the matter. Someone is asking for formation of Truth and Reconciliation Commission, but I am saying we will constitute Truth Commission to expose the killers,” he said.

He added that people of Srinagar are fed up from their exploitative politics and want change. “We promise you that on June 04, 2024 J&K Apni Party will sweep polls. You will see the restriction previous regimes imposed will be lifted to some extent,” he said.

“People will punish them for their wrongs in elections,” he added.
