Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested 01 drug peddler at Lalpora Rednag and recovered charas like substance from his possession.
A police party of Police Station Lalpora headed by SHO PS lalpora kupwara under the supervision of SDPO Lolab established a naka at Rednag Crossing During checking, 01 person have been arrested and has been identified as Sarwar Ahmad Ganie S/O Ghulam Ahmad Ganie R/O Dardpora Lolab. During his personnel search 175 grams chars like substance has been recovered from his possession and have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 71/2023 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Lalpora and investigation has been initiated.
It is pertinent to mention here that during current year Police Station Lalpora have registered 10 NDPS cases against 13 drug peddlers.
