PM Narendra Modi is set to virtually launch the second Delhi-Katra Vande Bharat Express on December 30, bringing relief to Mata Vaishno Devi Ji’s passengers and pilgrims. Following the virtual inauguration, the train will operate regularly between Delhi and Katra. Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister in PMO with independent charge of Science and Technology, mentioned that the second train will run in reverse timing to the first Vande Bharat Express, offering flexibility for commuters. The Railway Ministry, responding to Dr. Jitendra Singh’s request, agreed to stop the train at Udhampur and Kathua Railway Stations, providing significant relief to J&K commuters. Dr. Jitendra Singh highlighted PM Modi’s interest in J&K’s development and welfare, attributing the second Vande Bharat train to the Prime Minister’s commitment to neglected areas. The new train will address the issues faced by Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrims and benefit daily commuters in the region. Additionally, it will improve connectivity in the Jammu region, with plans for further expansion, including a train from Katra to Srinagar in the Kashmir valley by March-April. People in various regions have commended the government’s initiative. (TRK News)
