Continuing its drive against the Drug peddlers Awantipora Police arrested two drug peddlers from Awantipora area.
During vehicle checking at naka point near Chersoo Crossing , Police party of Police Post Toll Plaza headed by IC PP Toll Plaza Sub Inspector Muneer Ahmad under the supervision of SDPO Awantipora arrested 02 drug peddlers identified as :
1) Arshid Ahmad Dar S/O Ghulam Nabi Dar R/O Gulshanabad Rajpora Pulwama
2) Shakir Ahmad Ganie S/o Fayaz Ahmad Ganie R/O Gulshanabad Rajpora Pulwama.
The arrested persons were travelling in a vehicle load Carrier which was signaled to stop and during through search 1.2 Kgs of grinded Cannabis like substance was recovered from the possession of the persons boarding in the said vehicle.
Vehicle bearing registration number JK13H- 8415 used in the commission of the said crime has also been seized.
Case FIR Number 16/ 2025 under relevant sections of NDPS stands registered at Police Station Awantipora.
