While continuing its unwavering efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from society, Udhampur Police attached property worth Rs. 1 crore in the form of a double storeyed building and a residential house built over 7 marlas of land of a notorious drug peddler at Poonch , under Section 68-F(2) of the NDPS Act 1985.
The properties were identified as illegally acquired property during the course of an investigation carried out by DySP Hqrs. Sh. Prehlad Sharma, SHO PS Rehambal Insp. Nishat Ahmed and ICPP Tikri PSI Manveer Singh
The properties were found to be acquired from illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances by the owner, who is presently under judicial custody in Case FIR No. 212/2024 of PS Rehambal.
This operation reaffirms the commitment of Udhampur Police to combat the drug menace from the district.
