To ensure the safety of pilgrims during the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, Police District Awantipora conducted a mock drill along Yatra route.
The exercise was carried out at strategically significant points to assess the alertness, preparedness, and coordination among different security agencies deployed for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra duties. The mock drill simulated various scenarios including response to potential threats, emergency evacuation, and crowd management.
Senior officers from Police District Awantipora including Zonal Police Officers along with Counter Part CRPF supervised the exercise, ensuring that the standard operating procedures (SOPs) were followed and refined where necessary.
The mock drill was conducted without causing inconvenience to the Yatris or the general public. Awantipora Police thanked the public for their cooperation and reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a safe and peaceful Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2025.
