Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, Awantipora Police seized 02 Mechanized Motor Boats.
Police party of Police Station Awantipora headed by SHO PS Awantipora Dy.SP (P) Shri Aatif Zahoor seized two Mechanized motor boats being used by below mentioned person for illicit extraction of sand from river Jehulm

S/o Khazir Mohd Lone
3) Manzoor Ahmad wani
S/o Mohd Akbar Wani
4) Ajaz Ahmad Lone
S/o Gulam Mohi ud Din
5) Mushtaq Ahmad Dar
S/o Gh. Mohd Dar
6) Gulam Mohidin wani
S/o Ibli Wani all residents of Bunderpora Awantipora.
Accordingly, case vide FIR NO. 133/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Awantipora and further investigation has been initiated.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding illegal mineral-related activities in their neighbourhood.
