Kulgam — J&K Police in Kulgam have solved a theft case and recovered a stolen vehicle besides, apprehended an accused individual involved in the commission of crime.
Police Station Qazigund received a written complaint from Azam Khan son of Mohd Ismail Khan resident of Ramban A/P Nawa, stating therein that his vehicle bearing registration number JK13A-4716, parked near Jamia masjid Nawa has been stolen.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 08/2025 under relevant section of law has been registered at Police Station Qazigund and investigation was initiated.
The investigation team led by SHO Police Station Qazigund with strenuous efforts and by using all available means tracked down the stolen vehicle at Wullarhama Pahalgam, and was recovered subsequently.
During the operation, the Police apprehended the accused, identified as Shahid Ahmad Bhat son of Bashir Ahmad Bhat resident of Wullarhama Pahalgam. Investigations are ongoing to determine whether additional individuals were involved in the theft.
