Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested 01 drug peddler at Doban lolab and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
A police party of Police Station lalpora headed by SHO POlice Station Lalpora INSP. Malik Nasir along with DO Kuligam PSI Azhar Shakeel ,under the supervision of SDPO Lolab Sarfraz Bashir ,on railable information apprehended 01 lady namely Banu Begam W/O Mir Zaman R/O Doban Dever and on his possession 300 gms of charas like substance was recovered . On receiving this information case FIR No.79/2023 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Lalpora and investigation has been taken up and arrested person have been shifted to women Police station kupwara where she remain in custody.
It is pertinent to mention here that during last 10 days 04 NDPS case viz 71/2023,73/2023,74/2023 , 79 /23 stands registered in police stations Lalpora against 06 drug peddlers including one lady and contraband substance have been recovered . during current year 13 NDPS cases have been registered against 18 drug peddlers in Police Station Lalpora.

People are requested to cooperate with police in curbing the menace of drugs from the society. We reassure the community members that police will act tough against the criminals as per law.
