Continuing its efforts against drug peddling, Handwara Police arrested one peddler and recovered narcotics in Vilgam area.
On June 21, 2023, a police party of Police Station Vilgam, while on naka duty at Lilam crossing, apprehended one person who had attempted to avoid the police party in a suspicious manner.
On search, around 01 kg of Charas like substance was recovered from his possession. The person has been identified as Mohd Saleem Khan S/o Mushtaq Ahmad R/o Manzgam.
In relation to this, FIR No.64/2023 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act registered in PS Vilgam and investigation initiated.
