Republic Day 2025 was celebrated in Police District Awantipora with great fervor wherein tricolor was unfurled at each Police establishment, Tehsil and Block Headquarters,AIIMS Awantipora ,Schools, IUST Awantipora etc The main function was held at District Police Lines Awantipora in which Additional Deputy Commissioner Awantipora Shri Nazir Ahmad Mir-JKAS as chief guest unfurled the National Flag and inspected the Parade.
Member of the Legislative Assembly Tral, SSP Awantipora , Director AIIMS Awantipora Addl.SP Awantipora, SDPO Awantipora, Dy.SP DAR Awantipora, Tehsildar Awantipora and other senior officers of civil administration and Police Department were present on the occasion.
The parade was commanded by Dy.SP shri Gagandeep Singh-JKPS
The contigents of CRPF, IRP ,District Police, Women Police, Home Guards and many Schools participated in the parade and had a march past.
Besides, colorful cultural programmes were also presented on the occasion.
Awards were presented by the Chief Guest to the best performers.
Large number of people witnessed the function. Elaborate security arrangement were made by the District Police Awantipora in this behalf.
