Rusted Shell Recovered from Well, Defused in Kupwara Village

Security forces on Friday afternoon recovered an old rusted shell from a well in a Tekipora village in Sogam in Kupwara district, officials said.

They told that a shell was found in a well of Abdul Jabbar Naikoo at Baghatpora village in Tekipora Sogam by labourers while cleaning the water source.

“A joint team of 28 RR and SOG reached the site and recovered the shell, followed which it (explosive) was destroyed without causing any damage”, they further said.
