School Education Department directs schools to provide provisional admissions to reappear,failed students

The School Education Department has ordered all government and private schools to provide provisional admissions to students who have failed or were unable to pass one or more subjects in board exams.

The School Education Department issued the directives in response to complaints received by the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) regarding the denial of provisional admissions to students who failed or were unable to qualify in one or more subjects during board exams.

The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) informed the Chief Education Officers (CEO) of the region that many schools affiliated with JKBOSE were disregarding the eligibility of students who failed or reappeared in board exams and were eligible to move up to the next higher class by denying them provisional admission.
