Jammu : In a formal ceremony held at the Lok Bhavan today, Shri Shantmanu was sworn in as the State Election Commissioner for the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
The oath of office was administered by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, in the presence of senior government officials and dignitaries.
Shri Shantmanu made and subscribed to the oath, affirming his commitment to uphold the Constitution and discharge his duties with integrity, impartiality, and dedication. His appointment is expected to further strengthen the electoral framework and ensure the smooth conduct of elections across the Union Territory.
The ceremony marked a significant step towards reinforcing democratic processes in Jammu & Kashmir.
