Sopore Police Conducts Search at Residence of JEI-Linked Individual

In connection with the investigation of Case FIR No. 42/2025 under Sections 10 and 13 of the UA(P) Act, Sopore Police today carried out a search at the residence of an individual associated with the proscribed organization Jamaat-e-Islami (JEI).

The search was conducted after obtaining a warrant from the Hon’ble Court, targeting separatist elements suspected of involvement in unlawful activities threatening public order and national security.

Incriminating material linked to the banned outfit was seized during the search, which was conducted in the presence of Executive Magistrates and independent witnesses, ensuring full legal compliance and procedural transparency.

Sopore Police remains steadfast in its commitment to dismantling the terror ecosystem and taking firm action against those attempting to disturb peace and stability in the region.
