The J&K National Conference strongly condemns recent articles misquoting Mr. Omar Abdullah. The reports falsely attribute a statement claiming the 1987 elections, not Article 370, incited violence in Kashmir. Such misrepresentation fosters confusion and misleads the public.

Certain news agencies disseminated this misleading information without proper verification, undermining the credibility of journalism. Irresponsible reporting contributes to the larger problem of misinformation in society.
