Earth Day 2025 was celebrated with great enthusiasm and commitment at Govt. Girls Middle School Boniyar, highlighting the theme “Our Power, Our Planet.” The event aimed to promote environmental awareness and encourage students to adopt sustainable and eco friendly practices in their daily lives.

The celebration began with a pledge ceremony where both teachers and students took an oath to protect the environment, avoid plastic use, and promote green practices. Teachers and students took a pledge on the theme “Our Power, Our Planet” and committed to working for renewable energy for one year. Mukhtar Ahmad Qureshi, the School Cultural Coordinator, addressed the students and urged them to become ambassadors of change by spreading awareness about the importance of environmental conservation. He emphasized adopting eco friendly habits and reminded the students that small actions can lead to big changes when it comes to saving the planet.

Earth Day Pledge:

On this Earth Day, I pledge to:

Protect and preserve the natural environment.

Reduce, reuse, and recycle wherever possible.

Conserve water, electricity, and other resources.

Plant more trees and care for green spaces.

Avoid plastic and promote sustainable alternatives.

Keep my surroundings clean and spread awareness.

Respect all forms of life and support biodiversity.

Work together for a greener, healthier planet.

I promise to be a responsible Earth citizen and do my part every day to build a sustainable future.

Students actively participated by delivering inspirational speeches focused on the significance of Earth Day and the need to maintain the balance between development and ecology.

To recognize student efforts, certificates were distributed among ‘Green Ambassadors’ students who have shown consistent dedication throughout the year in protecting the environment and following eco friendly guidelines.

Muslim Bin Akil and Headmistress Shabina Masood appreciated the students for their enthusiastic participation and extended heartfelt thanks to all who contributed to the year long activities focused on environmental conservation.
