Kupwara ,May 15, 2025 — Continuing its firm stand against drug-related activities Trehgam Police today established a naka checkpoint at Shumnag Trehgam as part of intensified area domination and surveillance operations.
During naka checking police personnel observed one individual moving suspiciously. When signaled to stop the person attempted to flee from the spot. However due to the alertness and swift response of the naka party he was tactfully apprehended after a brief chase.
Upon search a substantial amount of a Charas-like substance was recovered from his possession. The individual was subsequently identified as Danish Ahmad Dar resident of Trehgam
In this regard a case FIR No. 14/2025 under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Trehgam and further investigation has been initiated.
Kupwara Police continues its crackdown against drug peddlers and urges the general public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
