Two non-local have laborers sustained critical injuries after militants fired upon them in the Gagangeer area of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, on Sunday evening.
News agency NVI quoted a top police officer as saying that militants opened fire on the two laborers who were working in a tunnel project.
The victims, he said, were immediately evacuated to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Security forces swiftly responded to the incident, cordoning off the area as they launched an operation to locate the attackers.
