Three terrorists were killed in a joint operation by the army, police, and CRPF in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday.

A Top police officer told that after a night-long anti-militancy operation at Samno village in Kulgam, three terrorists have been killed.

He said the identity of the slain terrorists is yet to be ascertained.

The officer, however, said that the operation in the area is still ongoing.

On Thursday evening, on receiving specific intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists in the Samno village, an exchange of firing reported how’ver the operation remained suspended that night, but today, after the first time, the firing from both sides was resumed.

Sources told that the whole area has been sealed by a mixture of forces, and all the entry and exit points are closed.(KS)
