Continuing its drive against the Drug peddlers , Awantipora Police arrested two drug peddler from Awantipora area.
During naka Checking at Kaigam Crossing, Police party of Police Post Toll Plaza headed by Incharge Police Post SI Ishfaq Ahmad under the supervision of SDPO Awantipora arrested 02 drug peddler identified as
1. Mayser Ahmad Sheikh, S/o Gh. Mohammad Sheikh, R/o Ladermar
2. Arshid Ahmad Sheikh, S/o Gh. Mohammad Sheikh, R/o GADIBal Handwara Maidani Chugal Handwara
The arrested persons were moving in a suspicious circumstances and during search 315 gms of Charas like substance (in shape of Sticks) was recovered from their possession.
Case FIR Number 119/2025 under relevant section of NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Awantipora.
