Jammu — Jammu and Kashmir Police have successfully traced two missing ladies in Doda district and handed them over to their legal heirs, police said on Tuesday.

In a statement, police said, “On 05.03.2024, a missing report of a girl, namely Shabina Banoo, daughter of Mohd Iqbal and resident of Muksyas, Tehsil Chilly Pingal, was registered at Police Station Gandoh. A search was immediately initiated, and she was later traced in the Malath area.”

The statement said, “On 10.08.2024, another missing report was filed regarding a lady, namely Bimla Devi, wife of Bansi Lal and resident of Kharangal. She was subsequently traced in the Dacchan area of Kishtwar district.”

After completing all necessary legal formalities, both ladies were reunited with their legal heirs, and the missing reports have been officially closed.
