Former Minister & Vice President Apni Party Usman Majid today felicitated people on the eve of the holy month of Ramadan, probably starting from tomorrow subject to appearance of crescent.
“With the start of the holy month of Ramadan, I extend felicitations to the people of Jammu & Kashmir,” Majid said in a message.
He said, ”Ramadan fast teaches us to practice piety, self-discipline, self-control, sacrifice, tolerance, justice and empathy for the less fortunate in society. Let us reflect on these lessons during the 30 days fasting period.”
Majid urged for heeding the true Islamic teachings of peace, unity and integrity for the larger good of the mankind. “I pray to Almighty Allah to make this sacred month a positively new beginning in our individual and collective lives,” he said, adding “I wish and pray that this month becomes a harbinger of peace and prosperity for Jammu and Kashmir and its people.
