Harsh Raj, Former Video Editor at India News, Alleges Negligence and Non-payment of Salary by Channel Management
Harsh Raj, who worked as a video editor at India News has accused the channel’s management of serious negligence and irresponsibility regarding salary payments. Harsh joined the channel on April 14, 2025, and claims that he worked with full dedication and effort, which was acknowledged and appreciated by senior officials at the channel.
Allegations of Lack of Resources and Insensitive Attitude
Harsh stated that he was not even provided with basic equipment required for a video editor such as headphones and a mouse. Despite this, he continued to work to the best of his ability. He remarked:
> “They expect world-class quality work, but the facilities provided are worse than those in Bangladesh.”
Only Assurances, No Salary
Harsh alleged that at the end of the first month, when he asked for his salary, he was told it would be given the following month. However, even in the following month, he only received repeated assurances.
When he explained his financial situation and the need to pay his educational fees, the management allegedly responded with:
That’s your problem, not ours.
Uncertainty Over Salary Even After Resignation
Harsh shared that due to severe mental stress, he resigned late last night. He reached out to management regarding his pending salary, but was dismissed, being told his approach was “unprofessional.”
Discontent Among Other Employees Too
Harsh claims that many other employees are facing similar issues, with some not having received their salaries for up to three months. While the workload continues to increase, there is no mention of salary payments.
Management’s Silence is Concerning
So far, India News management has not issued any official response on the matter. If the employees’ complaints are true, this situation not only represents a violation of labor rights but also points to ethical and managerial failure.
If a prominent network like India News is facing issues related to basic resources and salary payments, it raises serious concerns not just about the organization itself but also about labor dignity and accountability within the media industry at large.
