On Thursday, Senior IPS officer Vidhi Kumar Birdi officially took over as the Inspector General of Police for the Kashmir Zone. An official confirmed that Birdi assumed the position this morning. Birdi’s appointment as IGP Kashmir followed the transfer of ADGP Vijay Kumar to ADGP (Law and Order) in Jammu and Kashmir.
