He is accused of carrying out at least 11 terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir and was among the top 10 targets in the Valley on the list of security agencies.

The police team recovered a pistol, magazine and a stolen car from Matoo.

Ahead of Independence Day last year, a video went viral showing Matoo’s brother hoisting the Tricolour at his home in Sopore.

As per reports, the Delhi Police, a few days ago, received information that Matoo would be traveling to Delhi-NCR to collect arms and ammunition. Acting on the tip-off, security was enhanced and sources keeping a close eye on sleeper cells and weapon suppliers were asked to remain alert.
