Youth Services and Sports Department Zone Boniyar organized a Zonal Level Chess Competition for Under 17 and Under 14 Boys and Girls at Govt. Girls Middle School Boniyar.The event was held under the able leadership of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Baramulla, Mr. Zahoor Ahmad.The event witnessed wide participation from various schools of Zone Boniyar, including HSS Boniyar, HSS Pahlipora, HS Zehanpora, GHS Pahlipora, HS Bimyar, GMS Boniyar, BMS Boniyar, and MS Hiller Peerniya. The competition aimed to foster logical thinking, patience, and concentration among young students.
The tournament was conducted in a well organized manner under the supervision of a team of dedicated officials, including Sheikh Mubarak, Sajad Hyder, Showkat Ali Mir, Abdul Majeed, Ms. Shagufta, Ms. Nageena, Ms. Sabiya, and Ms. Shaziya. Their presence and coordination ensured the smooth execution of matches across different age categories.
Participants displayed great enthusiasm, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the event. At the conclusion of the competition, winners from each category were awarded mementos in appreciation of their skills and efforts. The event concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Sheikh Mubarak, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Head of the Institution of GMS Boniyar, all officials, and students for their valuable support in making the event a success.
