Exactly the road is being constructed by the Border Road Organization (BRO) locating on the place of Akhnoor-Poonch, is really the Golden Arc Project. This is very really one of the oldest and highly well planned to 200 Km stretch in lenth which connected to the South Kashmir as well as Jammu region to the West of Jammu and Kashmir. It connected the touching border districts namey ,Akhnoor, Rajouri and mini Kashmir Poonch. There can be noted the four major and long Tunnels in laying stretch cite up to the Kandi Tunnel, the Sungal Tunnel, the Naushera Tunnel and the historic Bhimber Gali (BG)Tunnel.
It is really true to mentioned that the construction of pivotal infrastructure project is by taped in National Highway144A connecting to Akhnoor – Poonch reached and significantly covered a milestone. On being asked about Defence Infrastructure along LoC, DGBR mentioned that development of Defence Infrastructure is a continuous process andy Border Roads Organisation is committed towards strengthening of Defence Infrastructure by building and upgrading strategic roads all along the IB, LC and LAC at first in hands.
