In a signifucant event a police Party from Police Post Baazar during a nakka at Geerhachi today apprehended a minor boy(Name withheld) in possession of a heroin-like substance .
During the naka checking, the police party stopped a 16-year-old boy from Khumriyal. Upon checking approximately 10 grams of a heroin-like substance were recovered from his possession.
In this regard Case FIR No. 203/24 under Section 8/21 of the NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Kupwara. The investigation is currently underway to trace the source and any potential connections involved in the case.
