Srinagar: A legislators’ party meeting of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference has gone underway in Srinagar, amid anticipation for the announcement of Chief Minister for the upcoming assembly.
The meeting is being participated by JKNC President Farooq Abdullah, Vice President Omar Abdullah, the winning candidates on different assembly segments, besides the top functionaries of the party.
The legislator meeting, will delve into the aims and objectives and modus operandi of the upcoming government and the simultaneous nomination of the Chief Minister. It is highly likely that the meeting is passing a resolution for the nomination of JKNC Vice President Omar Abdullah as Chief Minister of the upcoming assembly.
It is pertinent to mention here that JKNC emerged as the single largest party in the recently concluded polls, while it’s ally Congress winning on seven seats to enable it to form the government.
