Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police has arrested drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
A police party of Police Station Uri headed by SHO PS Uri at a checkpoint established at Dani Syedan Uri, intercepted one person. During his search, 9.46 Kgs of contraband Cannabis Powder like substances was recovered from his possession. He was identified as Noor Hussain Shah son of Mehboob Shah resident of Choolan Kalsan Uri.He has been arrested and shifted to PS Uri were he remained in custody.
Accordingly, case under relevant sections of law have been registered at police Station Uri and investigations have been initiated.
